“The Lion King” 1994
It’s on TV right now and I was reminded that I had this one. A bit of Hyena antics. Enjoy!
Pffthaha, actually, Banzai’s joke there is pretty good, I wish they’d have fit it in but oh well, if only for Shenzi’s reaction. I love seeing rough animation, and it’s always a bonus when it’s with overlooked characters.

Obligatory reblog because I love this lunatic.

I had a shittastic day, but this eased it a bit. That shot of little Po cheering up upon seeing Mr. Ping is one of my favorite little moments in the movie. This whole flashback wasn’t just adorable to me, it was heartwarming and genuinely moving.

I don’t like the show because reasons, but Mei being female isn’t one of those reasons. Mei had no specified gender in the book. They didn’t “ruin” anything in that particular area. I’m saying that as someone who ships these two based off of the movie. It’s one of the few pairings that I feel is real, innocent love. Either sort of love you interpret it to be: whether romantic or platonic, there’s a lot of it, it’s just as strong as the other, and I can’t get over that degree of overwhelming sweetness. I personally see it as romantic, but I don’t fault anyone who sees it as friendship, because I don’t see why friendship can’t mean as much as love, or vice versa.
So with all that in mind, I don’t ship them based on whether or not their genitals would match up in whatever way I’d prefer. And I don’t see why I would want or need to. I don’t think that their relationship would have changed either way. He, or she, is still Mei.

But yeah… not surprised at all that there are people screaming for the blood of whoever is responsible for making Mei female, despite the fact it was never dictated in the book whether Mei was male or female at all. I’d damn well have an issue if Mei was male in the books and they changed that, or if it was a continuation of the movie and they changed that; it’d actually be pretty offensive in that case…but it’s not, so there’s no real issue here.
I’m not interested in convincing anyone else, just wanted to put my two cents worth out there and go back to disregarding fandoms as much as I can.

You are too concerned about what was and what will be. There is a saying: yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the “present.”

I’m not surprised about my preferences losing.
I’m reeling over the fact that, for the most part, the worst possible choice in every category won.
.gif related, it was EXACTLY my face by the time I reached the bottom of the list.
